The cabinet’s extraordinary session is taking place at the Baabda Palace following a closed-door meeting between Lebanese President Michel Suleiman and PM Saad Hariri.
The cabinet reportedly appointed George Qaraa as the director general of State Security and Abdel Rahman Chehaytelli as the director general of administration in the Defense Ministry.
The cabinet has also reportedly appointed nine members to the Judicial Inspection Committee as presented by Justice minister Ibrahim Najjar.
