Chairman of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee Khalil Makkawi told Voice of Free Lebanon: I submitted my resignation “to ensure Lebanon’s best interests and to avoid duplicating efforts in the follow-up” on Lebanese-Palestinian relations. He said he made his decision after President Suleiman and PM Hariri agreed to put Minister Wael Abu Faour in charge of the Palestinian dossier.
