Israeli PM: Don’t Trust New Iranian President

Israel’s prime minister says the world should not trust Iran’s newly elected president.

Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Iran is still pressing forward with a program designed to develop a nuclear weapon, and the signs of moderation coming from Iran’s new leader, Hassan Rouhani, are merely cosmetic.

Speaking on CBS-TV’s “Face the Nation,” Netanyahu called the incoming Iranian president a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

He urged the world to step up pressure on Iran to halt its nuclear program through tougher sanctions and threats to take military action.

Israel appears to be concerned that the world will ease pressure on Iran in order to engage Rouhani in negotiations.

Iran denies Western charges that it is pursuing nuclear weapons, saying its program is for peaceful purposes.

Don’t worry my friend, every dog has its day. Only a matter of time. Lets hope he makes the fatal mistake and attempts to attack Iran. Then he and world will see how powerful she really is. Time for Iran to prove that they are a world power.

I agree with you, war is bad, however I’m sick of the west including Israel always threatening Iran with an attack. Anyway, we need not worry. They know an attack on Iran with see their demise.

        2. Once the Islamic regime collapses Iranians and Israelis will be friends again , and that will be sooner than you think

Come on bro we have been saying that since the 80s,the government is gonna go down and the islamic republic with it…and yet they are still there and we havnt been able to bring them down.

          2. But Iran today is getting its economy crippled by more and more sanctions , which simply wasnt the case in the 80s . The definition of a collapsing regime in the 80s was more to do with the idea of losing popularity among the people (well at least this was the case when Iran went on the offensive against Iraq)

  5. 16 July 2013 – Iran’s president-elect has sent messages to Syria’s Bashar Assad and Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah group, reaffirming support for the two allies.

The official IRNA news agency on Tuesday cited Hasan Rouhani as saying close Iranian-Syrian ties will be able to confront “enemies in the region, especially the Zionist regime,” or Israel.

Rouhani says Syria will “overcome its current crisis.”

The note was in response to Assad’s congratulatory message on Rouhani’s June election. Tehran has sided with Assad’s regime in Syria’s civil war.

Rouhani also wrote to Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, saying Iran backs the “steadfast nation” of Lebanon and the Palestinians, a reference to the militant Hamas group.
