Lebanon to recognize ‘Palestine’ state in new few days, report

Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar reported Saturday that Lebanon is set to recognize a Palestinian state “in the next few days,”

According to An-Nahar, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas will visit Lebanon in the middle of August for two days during which he will meet with Lebanese president Michel Suleiman, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Najib Mikati.

According to media reports Suleiman has requested that Abbas visit Lebanon for talks over international recognition of a Palestinian state.
