An Iranian spy helped Israel in assassinating Hezbollah chief Nasrallah: Le Parisien

French newspaper Le Parisien claimed, citing Lebanese security sources, that Israel obtained sensitive information through an Iranian agent, indicating the exact location of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in the southern suburbs of Beirut prior to his assassination last Friday.

According to Le Parisien, the biggest surprise in the assassination of  Nasrallah lies in the role played by the Iranian agent, as this spy was able to penetrate Hezbollah’s inner circle and deliver accurate information about   Nasrallah’s movements.

The newspaper added that Nasrallah was accompanied in his car on the day of his assassination by the deputy commander of the Quds Force in Lebanon, and that he was 30 meters underground at the time of the assassination.

According to this information, Israel launched airstrikes on the area, which led to the assassination of  Nasrallah.

It is believed that this penetration by the Iranian agent is what helped the Israelis time the attack with great precision to ensure the presence of  , according to the French newspaper.

Israel said it killed Nasrallah in an airstrike on Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Friday. Hezbollah confirmed he had been killed, without saying how.

Iranian guards on Israeli payroll

Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf admitted yesterday that  Iran was concerned about infiltration by Israeli agents, including Iranians on Israel’s payroll and a thorough investigation of personnel has already begun, targeting mid and high-ranking members of the Revolutionary Guards.
