A series of bombings and mortar attacks targeting Christians killed at least three people and wounded more than two dozen others in Baghdad on Wednesday, Iraqi security sources said, 10 days after a brazen assault on a Catholic church that killed 52.
Attackers detonated at least 14 roadside bombs across the Iraqi capital and a mortar round struck in the southern Doura district, all targeting Christians and all within a two-hour period, an Interior Ministry source said. Reuters

Sako told a news conference in Warsaw, Poland, that the Christian community before the war was between 800,000 and one million. Now they are estimated at some 500,000. “If all Christians leave, there will be no more Christians in Iraq and this is a big loss for us because we have something to witness there. This is our land, our history.” AP
