A Syrian was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of killing two people, including a Kuwaiti citizen, National News Agency reported.
NNA said the security forces arrested the suspect, who lives in the area of Aley, after admitting that he has murdered a Syrian and a Kuwaiti.
The man said that he dumped their bodies on the seaside road in the area of Dora behind Galerie Vanlian.
The security forces later found the corpses and transported them to a hospital.
The incident came two days after two Kuwaitis were killed in Arayya , Dahr al-Wahesh area of the town of Kahale in Mt. Lebanon, just outside Beirut,
Police said Friday that they arrested two Syrians who admitted to murdering the Kuwaitis with the aim of robbery.
“The two were found in the workers’ bedroom room underneath the Laredo Restaurant that they own ,” NNA said.
NNA identified the two men as Hussein Nassar, 58, and Nabil Yaaqoub al-Gharib, 56.
The killings angered Kuwait’s Ambassador, Abdul Al al-Qinai, who reiterated that his country has lately issued a travel warning to Lebanon.
Kuwait along with the other Gulf Cooperation Council countries has warned its citizens not to travel to Lebanon and urged those already there to leave.
