Israel expanded its aerial bombardment of targets in Lebanon, hitting areas both in and outside traditional Hezbollah bastions. FRANCE 24’s Rawad Taha tells us more. “Over the past 48 to 72 hours, it has been very calm in Beirut and in Beirut’s southern suburbs but it has been very intense in other parts of the country. We have seen airstrikes in southern Lebanon and also outside of southern Lebanon”, he reports. In the city of Nabatieh, “a significant number of buildings in the city center were completely destroyed”, he added.
