Incoming first lady Melania Trump wore a sparkly Reem Acra gold gown at a candlelight dinner to thank donors in Washington, D.C., Thursday night.

The Telegraph said Acra, a Lebanese-born, New York-based designer created the floor-length frock, which was form-fitting and had long sleeves.

The newspaper noted Trump’s choice for the pre-inauguration gala appeared to be a nod to both the U.S. fashion industry and its global diversity.

Women’s Wear Daily predicted the former model will dress in clothing designed by either Ralph Lauren or Karl Lagerfeld for Friday’s events surrounding the swearing-in of her husband Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States, as well as the subsequent celebrations.
