Iran has told the United States that an Israeli air strike which killed an Iranian general in Syria last week had crossed “red lines” and the Islamic Republic will respond, a senior official was quoted as saying by IRNA news agency on Tuesday.

“We told the Americans that the leaders of the Zionist regime should await the consequences of their act,” deputy foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said.

Iranian Revolutionary Guard General Mohammed Allahdadi was killed with a Hezbollah commander and the son of the group’s late military leader, Imad Moughniyeh, in a Jan. 18 attack on a Hezbollah convoy near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

A senior Israeli security source said Israeli forces believed they were attacking only low-ranking guerrillas. Officially, Israel has not commented on the attack.

“In this message to the Americans we said that the Zionist regime had crossed our red lines,” Abdollahian said.

Abdollahian said Iran delivered the message to U.S. officials via diplomatic channels. The two countries have not had direct diplomatic relations since Iran’s 1979 revolution, but the United States has taken part in international talks with Tehran on its nuclear program and its interests are represented by Switzerland’s Tehran mission.

Abdollahian’s warning echoed those of Iran’s Basij force commanders at a ceremony on Tuesday honoring Allahdadi.

“The Zionists should know that they are approaching their destruction. They should be fully prepared because they will not have peace any more,” Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naghdi said according to ISNA news agency.

Israel has struck inside Syria several times since the start of the Syrian civil war, mostly destroying weaponry such as missiles that Israeli officials said were destined for Iranian-backed Hezbollah, Israel’s longtime foe in neighboring Lebanon.

Hezbollah has been fighting alongside President Bashar Ass ad’s forces in the four-year-old Syrian conflict.

This would make Israel to reach Iran..Israel can give these as proof to the world that right from the beginning they want to destroy Israel hence forth for precautionary measure and to safeguard their country they launched the strike against the nuclear plants present in IRAN.

from my point of view israel fears nothing. it only uses this “iranian threat” to divert attention away from the genocide they r committing in palestine

Jordon knew about Palestine..Egypt knew about Palestine…Syria knew about Palestine…so does the Iraq…why they all hate them?
but why raise voice when only Israel does it…reason all are muslim nation and want to hide themselves..Israel is bold to expose that Palestine are arrogant
Just think like this…how good if the money used for underground tunnels spent on humans and their welfare…so is the Hamas…and the people of Palestine are afride of Hamas as Hamas would kill them saying that they spy for israel

Perfectly said…none occupied…agreed only Israel did..reason the war was fought between Israel and Palestine…Russians never gave back the 2 islands that is been captured from Japan during war…Pakistan never returned back the PoK[Pakistan occupied Kashmir] to India…Britian never handed over the island back to Argentina…reason huge amount of life is been lost and the money…so i feel that will not be returned back…itz their wealth

never asked you to case about other…but get the point from the comment that I posted earlier…what I wanted to say with those example is that the land grabbed with blood shed and developed with their own money will not be written back…so no matter which every country is that…I would say Israel will not or should not hand over the land to Palestine

I’m assuming East-Indian. You, of all people, should know you have to begin looking at these histories from 5000 years ago, at least. 😉 But don’t get into the ‘God’ bits in the history of this area … it could just blow your brain. ;-)))
Although, one can admit, you have several yourself. :-)))))) (holy cow, Batman…)
