The international highway in Tripoli was briefly blocked by residents to protest the government’s failure to compensate them for the damages caused by the twin bombings that targeted the city Mosques.

The twin explosions took place last August outside the Al-Taqwa Mosque in the city’s Al-Zahiriya area and the Al-Salam Mosque in the Al-Mina neighborhood.
At least 42 people were killed and 900 injured in the twin explosions in Sunni-dominated Tripoli.
