Lebanese reporter Fidaa Itani, who works for LBCI and other channels and who was detained by the rebels was shown in a video by Syrian opposition group “Liwaa Aasifat al-Chamal” in which he appeared safe and sound.
In the video, Itani reassured everyone that he was in good health, confirming that he is under house arrest in the custody of Liwaa Aasifat al Chamal in Azaz.
In a statement issued on their website, Liwaa Aasifat al Chamal in Azaz said that Itani is currently under their custody due to security clearance measures.
The statement pointed out that Itani was not arrested because of his nationality or his political affiliation, and will be released after a few days.
