Japanese Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba said on Wednesday that Syria’s ambassador had been told to leave the country as soon as possible, in a protest against the massacre of more than 100 civilians in the Syrian town of Houla.
Japan’s move comes after major western powers including the United States, France and Britain took similar actions.
