Lebanon’s military intelligence agency said it arrested a Palestinian spy recruited by Israel, sources told as-Safir.
The sources told the Lebanese daily newspaper Monday the Palestinian was recruited by Israel’s Mossad to compile information on terror groups, Lebanese Army movements and to search for details concerning Israeli Air Force navigator Ron Arad.
Arad was forced to eject from his fighter plane over Lebanon in 1986 and is presumed dead.
Over the years there have been a number of conflicting reports concerning his fate, but none have been validated.
The Lebanese newspaper said three other people suspected of collaborating with Israel were also arrested, but there were no details about the allegations against them. UPI
