Mitri: Cabinet committed to holding elections on time

Lebanon’s Information Minister Tarek Mitri briefed the media following the cabinet meeting at the Serail.

. The cabinet is committed to holding the upcoming municipal elections on time regardless whether the amendments to the laws are approved or not. He said that the cabinet is going to submit a draft law to the parliament on this issue.

. Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced that the search operations for last week’s crashed Ethiopian airliner are continuing, but would be temporarily halted due to the bad weather conditions.

. The official spokesmen for the search efforts of the Ethiopian airlines , in addition to himself are : The Directorate of Orientation of the Lebanese army command, Health Minister Mohammad Jawad Khalifeh and Public Works and Transportation Minister Ghazi Aridi. No one else is entitled to give any official information on the search, Mitri said
