In an interview with Al-Jazeera satellite TV network, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Miqdad stressed that relations with Lebanon should be conducted through state institutions ,” adding that “Syria wants to deal with Lebanon in a president-to-president and PM-to-PM manner.”
Miqdad said that “Syria opens its doors for all Lebanese, from officials to leaders to tourists.”
“Relations with Lebanon should be special and in at best conditions,” added Miqdad.
Lebanon has been always calling on both Syria and Iran to deal at institutional level, but until now both countries have been bypassing the Lebanese institutions when dealing with Hezbollah and Palestinian militant groups such as PFLP-GC and Hamas
