Yemeni security forces detained two suspected members of the Al Qaeda terror network after a shootout east of the capital on Saturday, the country’s Defense Ministry said. “Armed clashes broke out between the security forces and Al Qaeda operatives traveling by car to Marib, two of whom were arrested with the rest escaping,” the ministry said on its website.
