Hariri declares Islamic New Year a holiday in Lebanon

Lebanon Prime Minister Saad Hariri issued a statement on Friday announcing that December 18 is a holiday on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, or Al-Hijrah.

All public administrations, institutions and municipalities will be closed.
