The U.S. military is leaving millions of dollars of gear behind in Iraq as some in the Pentagon are urging it be used in Afghanistan, Pentagon memos indicate.
Pentagon officials are arguing over whether a decision donate American war equipment to the Iraqi government rather than transport it to Afghanistan is hurting U.S. efforts in the latter, The Washington Post reported Monday. The equipment left behind includes passenger vehicles and generators, which memos obtained by the Post indicate are what is needed most urgently. Source: UPI , Washington Post
