Lebanon’s terrorist cell was headed by Tarek Abdel-Fattah Beydoun

Security sources revealed to “Al-Nahar” that the ongoing investigations with the members of the terrorist cell that were arrested in Majdal Anjar is still ongoing . The cell consisted of four members whose leader is Tarek Abdel-Fattah Beydoun, a student of biological chemistry at a private university. He was arrested , along with his brother Ahmed and two other Lebanese, all from Majdal Anjar. The sources said that the detainees are known members of a fundamentalist organizations and they were under surveillance for some time. The initial investigation indicated that they were planning an attack against the UN “UNIFIL” in Lebanon , but the investigation could also reveal other plans . The raids are still continuing in the area in search for other people associated with this cell.

The other sources have revealed that the army confiscated during the raidlarge quantities of weapons and electronic devices, sophisticated detonators and plastic explosives and detailed instructions on how to make IEDs. Source: An Nahar
