The US confirmed the defections of two more senior Syrian diplomats, describing this as further evidence that President Bashar al-Assad’s days are ‘numbered.’
Al-Jazeera reported that Syrian Ambassador to United Arab Emirates ( UAE) Abdellatif al-Dabbagh has defected to the opposition. If confirmed this will be the fourth Syrian ambassador that has defected to the opposition.
Syrian ambassador to Cyprus Lamya al Hariri has defected to the opposition and is now in Qatar, Al Arabiya TV reported on Tuesday . If confirmed this will be the third Syrian ambassador that defects to the opposition.
