Lebanese attorney Rashad Salameh filed a lawsuit Tuesday in a Beirut court against MP Okab Sakr, accusing him of “acts of terror,” including jeopardizing Syria’s security. Salameh who was is representing the Syrian regime in this legal case submitted the lawsuit to Prosecutor Hatem Madi’s office.
The Interpol rejected the Syrian arrest warrants against former Prime Minister Saad Hariri,Future MP Oqab Saqr and Free Syrian Army media coordinator Louay al-Meqdad in line with its constitution and rules, according to a report by al-Mustaqbal newspaper .
Lebanon’s Prosecutor Judge Hatem Madi requested on Monday copies of the recordings of Future bloc MP Okab Sakr from Lebanese television stations and newspapers for his alleged involvement in obtaining weapons for Syrian rebels, National News Agency
Future Movement MP Okab Sakr said Thursday that he has the original recordings ( implicating him in arms transfers to Syrian rebels) and said the recordings that were broadcast in Lebanon were taken out of context and that he was actually negotiating the release of Lebanese kidnapped in Syria.
Lebanon General Prosecutor Judge Hatem Madi ordered an investigation into the recordings implicating Lebanese MP Okab Sakr in providing support to Syrian rebels, National News Agency reported on Tuesday.
