Future bloc MP Khaled al-Daher said on Sunday that the way Lebanese citizen Shadi al-Mawlawi was arrested at Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi’s office was an insult to the premier. “Kidnapping Mawlawi from Safadi’s office is an insult to Prime Minister [Najib] Mikati. Wiam Wahhab’s press office issued the following statement :”We’ve found out that the checks we have recently published had been forged by the person who provided them to us , so we apologize to the people whose names appeared on the fake checks.”
Future Movement MP Okab Sakr appeared on Future TV Saturday to assure the Lebanese and Syrians that he is free in Lebanon and not in a Syrian jail. Syria Nobles website on Saturday said that Syrian state television reported that MP Sakr was arrested in Banias.
OTV reported that the Syrian judiciary issued an arrest warrant against Future Movement MP Okab Sakr accusing him of involvement in the Syrian unrest and has circulated his name to all the Lebanese Syrian border crossings.
Future Movement media coordinator Ayman Jezzini denied that MP Okab Saqr was arrested in Banias in Syria, adding that he will hold a press conference to deny the report.
The Syrian army deployed overnight in the flashpoint city of Homs, witnesses said, ahead of Friday prayers that have been marked by intensifying protests in the last five weeks against authoritarian rule.
