Gemayel who appeared on Kalam el Nas talk show with Marcel Ghanem expressed concern that Jumblatt's statements will have negative effect won March 14 alliance
Gemayel criticized Jumblatt for leaving out the Christians when he called for an alliance between the progressive Socialist party, Al Mustaqbal Movement , Amal and Hezbollah. This was the same 4 party alliance Jumblatt had prior to the 2005 elections.
When Ghanem reminded Gemayel that Jumblatt issued a clarification in which he denied reviving the 4 party alliance, Gemayel shot back by saying every time Jumblatt talks his party issues a clarification...it is better if he stops making such provocative statements
Gemayel is concerned that Jumblatt's statements are the price for his reconciliation with Syria, leaving out the Christians as the scapegoat .
Jumblatt should sit down as soon as possible with his March 14 allies and explain to them what plans he has in mind and the objective of his recent statements...after all they have been his real allies for the past 4 years and he owes them an explanation of his actions.
We think Jumblatt has good intentions aimed at facilitating the formation of the new government, but he should be the one explaining this to his allies
