All the Lebanese politicians on both sides of the isle ( opposition and ruling majority ) have responded positively to the Hariri - Nasrallah meeting and all expressed their hope that this could lead to more reconcilaitions before the dialogue talks scheduled for next week .

Syria has reacted with outrage to the US raid by closing down a US cultural center and a US school. In response the US according to Reuters may also shut down the US embassy in Damascus and has warned its citizens of unforeseen circumstances, if they chose to remain in Syria
