But Franjieh's Marada movement rejected bilateral reconciliation with Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea and therefore the meeting never took place
Marada's media official also named Suleiman Franjieh said "bilateral reconciliation is rejected."
"We prefer to manage our differences (with the Lebanese Forces) along the lines of our relations with the Phalange Party," he added in a statement to LBC television network.
He said concluding "bilateral reconciliation aims at isolating Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun" who is an ally to the Marada leader in the Hezbollah-led March 8 coalition.
Geagea on the other hand said he is ready to meet Franjieh at "any time."
According to media reports General Aoun ( who did not participate in Friday's Maronite MP meeting) is the obstacle and for this reason no meeting will ever take place between Geagea and Franjiyeh without Aoun's participation or cooperation by at least giving a green light to Franjiyeh
