In a speech, Siniora said, "the national unity government is a government for all of Lebanon, and is tasked with restoring confidence in the nation, which fortifies coexistence, the Lebanese people's faith in one another, justice and love."
MP Saad Hariri, head of the Future Movement, said today that the new government would include a concession to the Hezbollah movement, which leads the opposition.
"I have asked Prime Minister designate Fouad Siniora to accept the nomination of Ali Qanso" in the line-up, Hariri said after meeting the premier, referring to a figure previously opposed by the parliamentary majority.
