
Two other men were killed and four wounded Saturday evening during clashes between Fatah Mainstream and Jund el Sham, an al Qaeda inspired Islamist group in the camp near Sidon in South Lebanon
The clash started when a verbal argument turned violent
The other 2 that were killed are Abdul Nasser el Dawali , a member of the Islamist group Jund al-Sham and Walid Salloum , a member of a committee formed to resolve differences between rival Palestinian factions, according to Palestinian officials
Those wounded are Shehada Jawhar, an official of Jund al-Sham, Hassan Bou Dabbous , Yehya el Said and Abdou el Said
Ain el-Helweh is one of the largest camps in Lebanon and the most dangerous , since many al Qaeda inspired Islamist groups have settled in this camp which is near the city of Sidon. Clashes inside this camp are a regular occurrence
According to an accord that was signed in Cairo in 1969, the camps are outside the control of Lebanese authorities. The Palestinians are in charge of their security . The new camp in Nahr el bBared that will be rebuilt, will be the only one under the control of the Lebanese authorities
In a related development Palestinian armed resistance leader general Munir el Mukdah said : The Lebanese authorities never informed us of the involvement of Shehada Jawhar's involvent in the murder of the 4 judges in Sidon .
On June 8, 1999 unidentified gunmen had attacked a court building in the Lebanese port city of Sidon, killing four judges and injuring five other people.
Police said the attackers smashed ground-floor windows and then opened fire with automatic weapons before fleeing on foot.
It was reported that they left machine guns and a rocket launcher at the scene.
No motive was established for the attack.
The court at the time had been hearing a number of cases relating to drugs and gang activities.

Mukdah said the clash last night was the result of a personal dispute and was not politically motivated
"Jawhar was not with Jund el Sham but he was with Usbat al Ansar . He went to Iraq and returned without joining any particular group ". He said
Initial reports said he was a leader in Jund el Sham
Al Arabiyah TV reported earlier that the death of Jawhar will further complicate matters inside the camp and could lead to more violence .
Reports from Sidon confirm al Arabiyah predictions as armed presence inside the camp has reportedly increased pointing to renewed clashes
Both Jund el Sham and Usbat al Ansar are Al Qaeda inspired Islamist militants
