The announcement followed the deal reached early morning in Qatar to end the political crises in Lebanon

It is not clear why Berri delayed the election date till Sunday since the elections were supposed to take place as soon as the Lebanese delegations return to Beirut. They are expected in Beirut at 8:00 PM local time
