The delegation included MP Akram Chehayeh ( representing Democratic gathering bloc of MP Walid Jumblatt) , MP Antoine Zahra from the Lebanese Forces Party which is headed by Dr. Samir Geagea , Elias atallah of the democratic Left party and Mustapha Hashim and salim el Jisr from the future movement bloc headed by MP Saad Hariri
The initiative calls for the election of General Michel Suleiman as the president , to be followed by the creation of a unity government, to be followed by a draft of a new electoral law . The Lebanese rivals could not agree on the second and third point . The majority accused Syria of being behind the blocking of an agreement
The delegation told Gheit and Moussa that the situation in Lebanon is no longer purely Lebanese , indicating that the regional influence is affecting Lebanon and the whole region
