Nasrallah gave credit to Sheikh Ragheb Harb for ousting Israeli troops from Beirut, Mount Lebanon and Sidon in 1985.

Nasrallah said Israel has had an open war with Lebanon since the occupation of Palestine in 1948 and the decision of war or peace was always called for by Israel. Hezbollah had to act all the time in self defense

Nasrallah attacked the parliament majority and the International tribunal when he said :

“The International Tribunal's prosecutor is in Meerab and its judge is in Clemenceau.” This was in reference to Dr. Samir Geagea, leader of the Lebanese forces who lives in Meerab, a suburb of Beirut and Democratic gathering leader MP Walid Jumblatt who lives in Clemenceau a Beirut district .

Both Geagea and Jumblatt have been defending the establishment of the International Tribunal to try the killers of Lebanon’s former PM Rafik Hariri .
Syria has been accused of being behind the murder of Hariri , but Syria has denied any involvement . Syria however has been fighting the creation of the International Tribunal with the help of Hezbollah -led opposition

Nasrallah attacked the majority by accusing them of being reluctant to make any concessions because they are waiting for an Israeli war to finish off Hezbollah

Addressing Israel Nasrallah said:

“ Your army would collapse at the feet of Imad Mughniyeh. I swear that we would fight you like you never experienced. Your army would be destroyed in south Lebanon."

He added “The Israeli air force is not capable of winning a war and Israel has no alternative but launching an overland offensive . We are ready to achieve victory and no one can protect all of Israel from our rockets ,"

Nasrallah predicted that Israel will cease to exist , because the “ The Arab opposition , including Syria will eliminate Israel “. He said

Nasrallah attacked the Arab countries that have issued travel advisories against travel to Lebanon .

“We ask states that issued travel advisories to behave normally. The Israelis are our enemies not them”, Nasrallah said.

Both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have issued travel advisories , restricting travel to Lebanon.

Nasrallah ‘s defiant speech according to observers “ clearly indicates that there will be no elections of a new president on Tuesday February 26 “

Lebanon has been without a president since November 23. The elections were postponed 14 times , because the opposition is insisting on a basket of preconditions before agreeing to go to the parliament and vote
