"The decision of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers indicates Arab recognition of the depth of the Lebanese crisis and is an accurate assessment of all political situation . The Arabs in this proposal are trying to help Lebanon out after the failure of all other efforts to end the crises in Lebanon. The decision reflects the insistence of the Arabs on making sure there is no return of Syrian to Lebanon “
He added: "It must be said that the Arab resolution was equally fair to all parties, and seeks to provide immediate and progressive solutions to the crisis by calling for immediate election of Gen. Michel Suleiman as the new president. Therefore, all Lebanese political parties are invited to take this opportunity to enter into a new honorable settlement. The Arab proposal meets the political demands of all parties : From the presidential election , to the government partnership on the basis of equality between all , and the launching of discussion for a new electoral law “
He continued: “For this reason any attempt to speculate on or misinterpret the Arab reason will be construed as another effort to block the election of the president and maintain the status quo and to invite Syrian tutelage back to Lebanon .”
He added “ Hence, we repeat our call to all political forces to adopt the draft resolution the Arab League and not to miss another opportunity for Lebanon and the Lebanese people , by building a strong country able to meet their ambitions and aspirations, and able to protect them all and dispel their concerns and fears without exception. “
Jumblatt added: “The time has come to end all the malicious attacks against the March 14 forces . The time has come to end the personal attacks against the nationalist leader Prime Minister Fouad Siniora who stood firm for Lebanon during the summer war, the Paris III conference and the International Tribunal. The continuation of some of the parties with the intimidation campaigns means a clear desire to take the whole of Lebanon back . Time to march for democracy, freedom and independence “
