Hariri ( pictured right) added : "The safety of the civilian residents of the refugee camp is our biggest concern and this is why the army is no rush to attack Fatah al Islam terrorists . Once the evacuation of the civilians is completed the army will deal with Fatah al Islam" . Hariri insisted Lebanon is much more interested in the safety of the civilians than Fatah al Islam is. Fatah al Islam has been using the civilians as human shields and that is why they were trying to prevent the evacuation.

Hariri said : "Fatah al Islam options are very limited . They have to surrender and face justice like any terrorist organization . You cannot negotiate with terrorists who came to this country with the sole purpose of destabilizing it based on orders from the Syrian intelligence"

Hariri described Fatah al Islam as a terrorist organization . He said the army can handle them easily as soon as the civilians are evacuated.

"The Lebanese government has left it up to the army on how it should deal with Fatah al Islam."

Hariri told the newspaper that Syria is behind the Fatah al Islam terrorist group .

" Shaker al Absi the leader of Fatah al Islam was in Syrian jail, but Syria never disclosed how he was freed from jail and under what conditions. Syria is saying that Fatah al Islam is part of al Qaida , but no body at Qaida is saying so . Syria is lying and Fatah al Islam is a Syrian backed operation. "

Hariri also was very critical of the state of Qatar , predicting they will vote at the UN against the creation of the Hariri International tribunal.

Arab support to Lebanon's position
Hariri said the Arab countries have all been supportive of the government of Lebanon in its dealing with Fatah al Islam.

Fouad Siniora , the Prime minister of Lebanon has met with the Arab and Foreign diplomatic representatives in Beirut and updated them on the developments at the Naher el Bared refugee camp standoff between the army and Fatah al Islam.

The dean of the diplomatic corp in Beirut HE Hasan Tharrar , told the reporters, that all the Arab and foreign diplomats present during the meeting voiced their support to the Lebanese government and were all opposed to the destabilizing action of the terrorist organization of Fatah al Islam. Tharrar was asked by a reporter if he supports a military solution and he said : "We support the solution that preserves the sovereignty of Lebanon , whatever that may be and whatever the Lebanese government sees fit. We are with the sovereignty of Lebanon and so is every one that was present including Abbas Zaki the Palestinian representative."

Siniora told the diplomats that the government of Lebanon is trying to give peace a chance . Negotiations still continuing, he said but our condition is that the murderers of the army should surrender and be brought to justice .
