The blast went off in the town center of Aley, near the Casino resort. The explosion occurred at 9:40 PM on Wednesday night, and is the third explosion in 4 days in Lebanon.
Several people were injured in the blast which also caused extensive damage to homes and shops, however no deaths have been reported so far.
Security forces also discovered an unexploded bomb nearby.

According to LBC - the bomb was placed under the staircase of one of the buildings on the main shopping street of Aley, a Druze town east of Beirut.
"A bomb went off near a shopping center. Luckily the area was largely empty," a security source said.
The Druze stronghold of Aley is the third part of Lebanon to be bombed in 4 days. On Sunday the Christian neighborhood of Ashrafieh was bombed, and on Monday the Sunni area of Verdun was bombed.
