aoun_nasrallah_worst_nightmare_f.jpgThe chaos that plagued Lebanon on Tuesday was initially marketed by the Aoun/Nasrallah duo as a "general strike" which was intended to rally support for a "national unity government" through "peaceful, democratic means".

The Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and his government had asked the Lebanese public to disregard the strike called by the opposition and pursue a normal day of work.

The majority of the Lebanese have disregarded the post-war actions of Hezbollah and their allies, viewing the militant group as a proxy of their close allies Syria and Iran. Strikes organized by Aoun, Nasrallah & co. prior to Tuesday were largely unsuccessful, with very little participation. However both vowed to make Tuesday's strike a success by any means possible, even if it meant trapping an entire nation by orchestrated vandalism, paralyzing the country by force.

Nasrallah continued to broadcast his threats to topple the government by force: "The opposition has the political, popular and organizational strength to bring down the unconstitutional government tomorrow or the day after."

The desperate Nasrallah continues to brand the government as unconstitutional, despite being the ringleader of unconstitutional and illegal protests as well as the head of an unconstitutional militia.

He even resorted to calling the democratically elected majority the "government of militias," ironically he remains in hiding due to the actions of his own militia.

Aoun even bragged about the madness he had a hand in, claiming the strike was "successful" and estimated that 90% of Lebanon observed the protest.

Let's not forget that this madman wants so desperately to be our president, but at what cost? Aoun has continued to foster the division of the Lebanese people for his own political gain, the extent of which was made frighteningly obvious on Tuesday, when clashes sparked between former civil war foes.

It took over 17 years to let the wounds heal, and in one day Aoun singlehandedly rips them back to bloodshed.

At the start of the July-August war, Israel's Prime Minister vowed to send Lebanon back 20 years. Hezbollah and Michel Aoun are starting to finish the job for him.

If Tuesday is a preview of the "democracy" that Hezbollah and Aoun believe is best for Lebanon, should they reach total desperation, God help us all.
