Many are starting to wonder where the demand was during the 29 years of Syrian dominance. The fact of the matter is that ever since Syria was forced to leave Lebanon, Hezbollah has been actively plotting to fill their void.
The current strategy to overthrow the government was thinly veiled as "non-violent protests", which quickly turned to mobs of vandals terrorizing peaceful neighborhoods attempting to spark conflict.
The leaders of the angry mobs are filling their followers with hate and rage, brainwashing them to turn on their country and disregard the nation's most noble institutions.
The gross irresponsibility on the part of the very same leaders who are campaigning to rule the sovereign has left the majority of the Lebanese in fear of what this great nation might become.
Preaching hatred of your opposition has been Hezbollah's mantra for decades, except their foes used to be exclusively foreign entities. Hezbollah now appears to be capable of what they have sworn they would never do: to turn their rockets against their own people.
The street mob stopped being a peaceful protest on the very first day, when participants were instructed to storm the Prime Minister's office. Since then, one anti-government protester has been killed and a pro-government university student brutally beaten and hospitalized.
What started with “Death to Israel" and “Death to America” has now turned into “Death to Siniora”. Neither Nasrallah, nor Berri, nor Aoun has attempted to preach to their sheep otherwise.
With increased frustration, the pro-Syrian leaders stooped to a new low, equipping their followers with massive floodlights and speakers. Protesters blasted the Grand Serail (government headquarters) with noise and flooded it with light in the latest round of psychological warfare.
