"Lee, you're fired. Sean, you're hired," announced Trump at the live finale in Los Angeles.

Yazbeck will live in one of Trump's Manhattan apartments, and will help oversee a giant project in SoHo, Manhattan; a five-star Trump hotel and residential block. "I am overseeing the project with two of Mr Trump's children, Don Jr and Ivanka. It's going to be the tallest building in SoHo, with a 360-degree view of the city and loft-inspired interiors," says Yazbeck.

As was the case with the previous four hires through "The Apprentice", Sean will earn a base salary of $250k.

The latest "Apprentice" selected by Donald Trump didn't just win a high-paying job, he was also alleged to have found a fiancee on the NBC reality show.

During the final episode, Yazbeck, 33, disclosed that he plans to marry another season five contestant, Tammy Trenta, after being asked repeatedly by Donald Trump on live broadcast. They began dating during the filming of the show. Following the show, Yazbeck clarified that the two are just dating.

"We're not getting married," Yazbeck says. "At this stage, it's way too soon to be talking about that... I thought I was answering whether I loved her," he says.

More recently, Yazbeck's girlfriend is auctioning a date with her man for charity. The event is to raise money for the the Theresa Kathryn Foundation, which supports "women and women-based initiatives around the globe.

"I'm going to show you as soon as possible that you made the right decision," Sean said following his selection. "I'm going to work my fingers to the bone and I'm going to make you richer than you are already."

Yazbeck earned the EB1 Green Card for "persons of extraordinary ability" in 2005.

Did he ever think he was going to win? "Of course not," he laughs.

"To be honest I was reluctant to apply. A million people apply and statistically you are highly unlikely even to get picked to get on the show."
