"America's real plan is to fuel a civil war, while the national plan is for all Lebanese to live in peace with one another," Hassan Nasrallah said Saturday. "There will be no return to civil war. All the political powers as well as the media must work to reduce religious tensions and make everyone understand that they will not allow Lebanon to be destroyed again."

Nasrallah told supporters that he planned to participate in the resumption of the "national dialogue" talks aimed at ending the country's political crisis. "We have no other choice but to pursue this dialogue despite the dangers to our security," he added.

Nasrallah, who met on Thursday with the former president of Iran, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani in Damascus was given a good advice by Rafsanjan : Don’t let your disputes transform Lebanon into a "battle field".

Hezbollah arms

Some anti-Syrian Lebanese politicians accused Hezbollah, that is financed by Iran and backed by Syria, of refusing to lay down its arms to serve its allies' regional interests.

The group's weapons are one of the contentious issues that are being discussed at the 'national dialogue' talks between the country's top 14 rival political leaders, including Nasrallah. The Lebanese people seem to be more scared of Hezbollah's arms than Israel is... many believe that Hezbollah's insistence on keeping the arms could start another civil war in Lebanon.
