That said, he doesn't want his wife to get jealous, so he asked that we publish the following piece anonymously:
What supposedly defines us in Lebanon is the flag, Tabbouleh, and local artists. Any time a foreigner or returning Lebanese visits Beirut, we take them out for Tabbouleh and refuse to allow them to leave the country before listening to Nancy's latest song. With Nancy Ajram's new album "Ya Tabtab Wa Dalla3" I thought I would share with you the Nancy phenomena.
The new album is being advertised on buses all across the country and on billboards. There is also a huge advertisement for Coca Cola in Dbayyeh which is at least 5-stories high, one of the biggest advertising constructions nation-wide. You pass by it every day whilst driving on the highway leading into or out of Beirut from the north. The ad changes every now and then with new pictures of Nancy and those shown reflect the most recent ones.
What distinguishes Nancy from the competition (usually referred to as Haifa Wehbe and Elissa) is that she comes across as overwhelmingly cute, energetic, and has the sexy girl next door appeal as well. Her songs and music videos make us love her more and more. Nancy has earned her status as THE Lebanese icon, bar none, no-brainer.
