Cardinal Nasrallah Sfeir, the spiritual leader of the Christian community expressed reservation about the sit-in, fearing that such an action could fuel the political instability of the country. He called for caution and said " you have waited for 30 years , can't you wait for another 30 days ?". He prefers that any action against the current president should be done in accordance with the constitution, by the newly elected parliament.

The so called " Bristol" gathering responded positively to Sfeir's call by announcing the postponed of the Sit-in till after the elections.

The second phase of the elections was completed yesterday. This week will witness the hottest battle. Sunday June 12 , Mount Lebanon and Bekaa regions will hold the elections and on June 19th the elections will be completed when the North of Lebanon will vote.
