Bahia Hariri saw Lahoud separate from the opposition delegation although she is widely tipped as the opposition's choice for the premiership after the upcoming elections, when Mikati's government is constitutionally required to resign.
She is actually a member of Speaker Berri's 13-member bloc of south Lebanese legislators in Parliament, representing Sidon, Lebanon's third largest city after Beirut and Tripoli. Mrs. Hariri declared last week that she would stand for reelection in Sidon in spring on an opposition platform alone, not within Berri's list of Syrian loyalists.
