Ivanka Trump’s rabbi is condemning President Donald Trump’s response to a deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Rabbi Haskel Lookstein told his New York synagogue that he is “deeply troubled by the moral equivalency and equivocation” of Trump’s reaction.

Trump has blamed “both sides” in last week’s march that also drew neo-Nazis and Ku Klux Klan members. A car plowed into a group of counterprotesters, killing a woman and injuring 19 others.

Lookstein is rabbi emeritus of Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun. He oversaw Ivanka Trump’s conversion to Judaism. She and her husband, Jared Kushner, were longtime members of the synagogue. Lookstein only rarely comments on the Trumps.

Lookstein’s message was posted Wednesday night on the Facebook page of the modern Orthodox synagogue and was signed by the congregation’s other rabbis.

There was nothing wrong with President Trump’s response. He is upholding the American values. Freedom of expression and speech. The alt-right movement was attacked by the alt-left who had no permit for assembly and they broke the law. Besides, vandalism is a crime and the hypocrisy of people is uncanny. When the Talibans destroyed the Buddhist icons the West condemned them. Well those icons were offensive to the local populace does that make it right to destroy history? Is it right to destroy the history of the US South? What if they say that the union soldiers statues are offensive to Southerners is it OK to bring them down? The hypocrisy of some is surreal. The last I checked the freedom of expression is law of the land. NO MATTER HOW MUCH one hates what the alt-right represents… Defeat them at the polls NOT by destroying history. desecrating the sacrifices of people who fought for their state is offensive to their descendants who since moved on. Why open the wounds of the past? Let it go and stop this bull crap.
And the media for heaven’s sake… Stop twisting the truth. The likes of CNN and others should remain neutral even though they lost at the polls. Who do you think brought Trump to power? The Americans at the voting polls. Democracy brought Trump to the white house… Is the alt-left anti-democracy now?

TRUMP AND AMERICAN HISTORY HAVE BEEN ASSASSINATED

“When Trump was elected I wrote that it was unlikely that he would be successful in accomplishing the three objectives for which he was elected—peace with Russia, the return home of off shored US jobs, and effective limits on non-white immigration—because these objectives conflicted with the interests of those more powerful than the president.
