American Zionists furious at Tillerson over his remarks on flight from Saudi Arabia to Israel

tillerson“We’re shocked at Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s remark to reporters during their Air Force One flight from Riyadh to Israel,” the Zionist Organization of America ZOA)  announced today, according to Israeli Arutz Sheva website

The ZOA, the oldest pro-Israel organization in the United States,  reportedly took great offense that Tillerson said he was on his way to “Tel Aviv, home of Judaism,” and that he would not acknowledge that the Western Wall is in Israel.

‘Only the blind cannot point to Jerusalem as the center of Judaism and Israel,’ ZOA claimed.

Former Israeli Consul-General (Ambassadorial level) Yoram Ettinger wrote on Friday that, despite President Trump’s positions, Tillerson and his State Department “still cling to political correctness ‎on U.S.-Israel and U.S.-Arab relations, the Palestinian issue and the relocation ‎of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.”

During Trump’s visit to Israel, the White House captioned a live video feed of him speaking with Prime Minister Netanyahu as being broadcast from “Jerusalem, Israel” – clearly denoting that Israel is sovereign over the holy city.

Tillerson , “assumes that enhanced U.S.-Israel relations undermine U.S.-‎Arab relations,” according to Ettinger.

Tillerson stressed strategic and economic partnerships in a joint address with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir in Riyadh on Saturday, saying it was a “historic moment” in U.S.-Saudi relations.

Accompanying President Donald Trump on his first trip abroad as commander in chief — and hours after the administration announced some $110 billion in arms sales to Saudi Arabia and $350 billion in direct U.S. investment over 10 years by the Muslim-majority country — Tillerson referenced multiple potential threats facing the two countries.

“This huge arms sales package reduces the burden on the United States to provide the same equipment to our own military forces,” he said. “It will strengthen Saudi security forces for the future so Saudi Arabia is more capable of carrying a greater share of the burden.”

Tillerson said Saudi Arabia’s direct investment in the U.S. would bring “hundreds of thousands” of jobs to American workers.

Tillerson is getting fat contract for his oil company what does he care about the Wall for? Besides why Israelis want to force him to visit the Wall anyway? do we force the Nutracker to go to church when we come here or attack him if he doesn’t. that’s ludicrous and yes doesn’t the Jews says it’s the land of Juda? bunch of baloney..

If you look at this from a purely financial point of view, the Saudi arms deal is way more lucrative than the billions in military handouts given to Israel.

    1. That’s a very profound observation. But then, of course, every resister knows that Saudi Wahhabis are actually crypto-Zionists…

        Thanks, I appreciate the acknowledgment.

I disagree with that view point, so I guess I’m not a “resister”. Good on you for knowing so much about the “resisters” though.

        1. “Thanks”

Don’t thank me. Thank the conspiracist morons who educated you (and hundreds of millions like you).

“Good on you for knowing so much about the ‘resisters’ ”

You might have a point here, pal. Sometimes I do wish I knew less about your ilk. Ignorance is indeed bliss.

You’re such a fucking tool. It’s now a conspiracy that Israel receives billions in military handouts?

          2. What’s with that nozzle fetish, pal? You’ve been sticking where it don’t belong for some innocent fun, you naughty boy? Don’t blush, you’re among friends here. 🙂

Do you ever read what you post? The JPost article was from 2007 about comments made by a grand mufti appointed by Arafat and fired by Abbas. A nothing for the past decade.

“Perhaps a lattice-like structure had been visible within the Wall for some time in the medieval period but was lost by the time of Maimonides’ visit, perhaps in 1165 – (Davidson Moses Maimonides 2005, p. 29). Maimonides, recording his visit, makes no claim for any structure visible at that time, as a surviving element of either Temple or Temple Mount, which he surely would have done if there was any consensus within the medieval Jewish world behind the Exodus Rabbah’s remarks”

Although Professor Herbert Davidson presents both the note quoted above as well as a biography of the Rambam by the 15th-century scholar Saadia Ibn Danan (who says Maimonides sailed to Acre by way of Alexandria, not directly from Morocco), as evidence of the details of the sojourn in Palestine, he also demonstrates how neither source can be considered reliable. Hence, even though the note that accompanied the commentary on Rosh Hashana also describes the Rambam’s visit to Jerusalem, “where I entered the great holy house” (the Temple) as well as to Hebron, where he went to “kiss the graves of my fathers”(that is, of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), Davidson concludes that nothing certain can be said about the sojourn in the Holy Land other than the fact that it occurred. He also rejects the suggestion that Maimonides ordered a personal fast for himself and his family, and dismisses the possibility that he would have stepped foot on the site of the destroyed Temple.

In 638 C.E., the Arian Visigoths declared that “only Catholics could live in Spain.”

            The Golden Age
The situation improved in 711 when Spain fell under the rule of the Muslim Moors. Both Muslims and Jews built a civilization, based in Cordoba, known as Al-Andalus, which was more advanced than any civilization in Europe at that time. Jews were able to coexist peacefully with their neighbors.; The era of Muslim rule in Spain (8th-11th century) was considered the “Golden Age” for Spanish Jewry. Jewish intellectual and spiritual life flourished and many Jews served in Spanish courts. Jewish economic expansion was unparalleled.
In Toledo, Jews were involved in translating Arabic texts to the romance languages, as well as translating Greek and Hebrew texts into Arabic. Jews also contributed to botany, geography, medicine, mathematics, poetry and philosophy.

A number of well-known Jewish physicians practiced during this period, including Hasdai Ibn Shaprut (915-970), who was the doctor for the Caliph (leader of Spain). Many famous Jewish figures lived during the Golden Age and contributed to making this a flourishing period for Jewish thought. These included Samuel Ha-Nagid, Moses ibn Ezra, Solomon ibn Gabirol Judah Halevi and Moses Maimonides.

It was Arab and Jewish Golden Age in Spain during 400 years.
When the Catholique Queen Isabel started Inquisition in Europe..
Arab left, Jews where persecuted and expelled.
