Four people rescued after Launceston Arms ‘explosion’

Four people have been rescued from a flat above a pub in Cornwall after reports of an explosion.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service were called to the Launceston Arms in Exeter Street, Launceston when the alarm was raised just before 17:00 BST.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus went into the building to rescue those trapped inside.

No one  is thought to have been hurt and the cause of the explosion is not yet known.
