STL confirms receipt of Lebanon’s annual contribution

hariri tribunalSpecial Tribunal for Lebanon( STL) Registrar Daryl Mundis confirmed in a statement  that the  Lebanese government  transferred  on Thursday $36 million to STL  its annual budget contribution.

“I welcome Lebanon’s contribution and I thank the Lebanese government for fulfilling its international obligation to fund the tribunal,” Mundis said in a statement confirming the receipt of the wire  transfer .

“The full sum of € 29,347,003.50, 49% of the Tribunal’s budget, was transferred to the Tribunal’s bank account this morning,” the  statement added

Several Hezbollah members accused of involvement in the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese PM  Rafik Hariri are being tried in-absentia , because Hezbollah  chief  Hassan Nasrallah refused to hand them over to the Tribunal or the Lebanese  authorities

    1. Waste of money… We’re going nowhere with that. Besides it is obvious to any middle schooler who is behind all of the assassinations which incidentally is MORE important than who executed them. The culprit remains and his name is the Netanyahu of Damascus, the long-necked hyena kitty… 😉
