3 army troops injured in clashes with gunmen in Tripoli, n. Lebanon

Army tank , tripoliThree Lebanese  army troops were injured in the clashes with gunmen  in Tripoli’s old souks, the Souwaiqa-Khan al-Askar neighborhood , MTV reported Friday evening .

MTV added that clashes have spread in Tripoli and sniper gunfire is targeting several neighborhoods.

MTV added that the sound of a shell explosion was heard during the clashes.

MTV also reported that some gunmen entered a Syria Church  in Church street  in the old town .

The Army has been increasingly targeted across the country in recent weeks .

    Yes. Increasingly. They still have not rid Tripoli of all the gangs and guns.

    Tripoli is errupting … still … fear among the women that it is ISIS idiots … fear among all Christians that it is ANY idiot ‘militant’ … and fear in all the good citizens, mostly of the sounds of a war against the Army in Tripoli.
    They run from the Army into the old Souks … becomes a foot-war because of the narrow streets of ancient hovels of humanity … the Army hopes to ‘contain’ … citizens cower.
    The battle runs into daylight this time … advantage for the Army.
    I am sure that after watching Syria and Gaza they all feel they should be looking up for the street-widening barrels …..

    The Lebanese refugees … helped by the Army to escape, but none finds food, water, clothing, or a roof for cover … at least, not if they are Christian – if the experiences of my friends are any example.
