A Lebanese mother denied using arms to kidnap her two children by the force, claiming that her husband had prevented her from seeing them over marital problems, Voice of Lebanon radio reported on Wednesday

Earlier National News Agency reported that Nadine Akkawi led an armed operation on Wednesday to kidnap her own children while on their way to school in the town of Aramoun, south of Beirut

NNSA said Akkawi with the help of several gunmen kidnapped her sons Omar, 7, and four-year-old Jad while they were with their grandfather outside al-Iman school in Aramoun.

Akkawi told Voice of Lebanon radio (100.5) that her husband Mohammed al-Saadi had prevented her from seeing them

“I hadn’t seen them for two months,” she told VOL

What a system that allows a father to prevent a mother from seeing her children, just because she has marital problems with him. Unless the woman is insain…

Constantin7, No law is being enforced in a lawless country. There is no reason why this mother should not see her children unless she is a danger to them.No one has made such claim .
The story states that she and her husband has had marital problems, but no details as to why she is not living with her children instead of her husband.Did she abandon her household ,including her children? Was she forced to leave her house and children by her husband?Did she really have armed men help her “kidnap ‘ her children? Many question remain to be answered. As we all know, most initial reports are not accurate.
