MP Akram Chehayeb, a key member of the Progressive Socialist party which is headed by MP Walid Jumblatt said on Thursday that it’s about time for the Lebanese government to expel the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon.
“It’s about time for our government to rise against deliberate and repeated humiliation and expel the one who has turned the embassy into a den of hatred and conspiracy,” Chehayeb said in a statement issued by his media office.
The MP hailed the courageous step taken by the Greek government in expelling the Syrian envoy
