Syrian Internet shut down by government

BEIRUT, LEBANON- Two US-based Internet-monitoring companies say Syria has shut off the Internet nationwide.

Activists in Syria reached Thursday by satellite telephone confirmed the unprecedented blackout, which comes amid intense fighting in the capital, Damascus….

Syrian rebels battled forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad just outside Damascus on Thursday, forcing the closure of the main airport road, and the Dubai-based Emirates airline suspended flights to the Syrian capital.

So … I wonder if the next boss here will do to the Syrians what Mursi is doing to the Egyptians.

    • Hannibal

It is a great possibility… That is why we need a secular government… The sad part is that Islamists and faqihis are loud noises ready to commit atrocities in the name of their religion but any popular free democratic election in most countries will show a majority of either secular or moderate moslems and christians. Our differences aside, I believe we can and must find this common ground. That being said, the real plan for the middle east is the balkanization of it which culminated into a sad breakup of East Europe. Think of the 1000 years of misery for the next generations unborn yet into the stupidity of religion extremism where every sect has its own piece of land each attacking the other for the morsels left to you by the superpowers.
No Bashar is not the answer, you and I know he is a murderer, yet the FSA war for freedom might result in extremism because they see their kids being slaughtered and civilians leaving their destroyed properties into more poverty like what happened to the Palestinians. It is sad you see one present naqba and you fail to see the future naqba happening in front of your own eyes.
As for Lebanon, nobody in his right mind denies the sacrifices of the South… However, this status quo will destroy Lebanon. If for instance the tables were turned and let us say some Christian militia arms and organizes to fight Israel and Zionism… eh ummit mohammad will rise against it like stirred hornets… Because no matter what your religion is, NO LEBANESE WILL EVER SUBDUE TO TYRANNY… The outcome was and still remains a civil war which plays into the hands of the Zionists. and believe you and me, the Lebanese of any sects are a cursed crazy bunch they will destroy each others and it won’t be easy for Hezbollah to waltz in and out and green lines will be set and God help us all.
If you do support the Schism and lack of building the state after all what I said then I wonder who is really the zionist.

Syrian had their secular government for the last 42 years and now it is going down.

        • Hannibal

That was NOT secular, I know and you know it that behind doors it was Alawite… Stop your Islamist propaganda because the future does not belong to you or your kind because by no means it is inclusive… It is a racist arabic plot to dominate eh ma facharet enta wu yeehon… and if you continue on that path we the secular will arm and show your likes the door back to Arabia.

So far the secularist have shown their secular religious extremism by invading country after country and install their puppet secularist. If you want secularism then you need to contact those secularist head of the state to help you.

Who is your ideal secular model ? I suppose you refer to USA ,Europe etc. But arent these countries installing their Shia puppet in the name of secularism? Take for example as Iraq and Afghanistan , we have the pro Iranian puppet installed by the very secular USA Europe!!

Today the resistance in Syria , Afghanistan , Iraq are done by sunni Muslims against the secular west in order to boot these secular invading pigs out of their land. Now you want secular government but this is a fraud. The biggest secular in the middle east is Assad and he is allied with the mullah majoosis in Iran! In terms of struggle the Syrian resistance is mostly sunnis. I have seen two videos on Christian resistance against Bashar . The Christians are divided too . There are pro Bashar Christian also.

What we need ? We all can have different expectation but the expectation of the majority will be the order of the day if you think about a democratic way to solve it. But if you fear that majority will trash the secular regime like in Syria then you need some hired thug such as USA Europe to come in and install secular regime which will be the eventual reality after the fall of Assad. But thats not democratic  but that wish is coming from few. In that case you will be subservient to the foreign power because of lack of local support just like Bashar Al-Secular who need constant support from majoosis Iran and communist Russia.

There is a risk on relying on the foreign power because those country can not give their support very long and then you face the resistance from the local majority. So for me I love the saying ” Survival of the fittest” Try and work hard for what you want and at the end of the day if you can win the hearts and minds of the people then you are successful or else you need to win their legs and limbs to impose your secularism

So what is secular in your definition ? Tell me what it is and show some example of secularism countries. ” We the secular” how many of you ? So Assad is not secular when this secular is falling he becomes Alawite!! fine he is Alawite and yes thats the way the secularism operates. It picks up the minority and rule the majority with foreign backing.

Now for the sake of argument Assad is Alawite and not secular then where are the secular who is fighting against this regime? So far its the oppressed sunnis who took up arms against this demon but I havent seen any secular so far. Where are they ? Only I find them breaking some computer keaboard and rest of them must be under the bed planning for a secular future!! Good luck!!

Russia’s Atheists Organize to Protect and Promote Secularism
Staunton, October 29 – At a time when religious organizations are seeking an ever greater role in Russia’s public life and when clashes among them are increasingly frequent, Russia’s atheist community has formed a new public movement to defend secularism, a principle enshrined in the Russian Constitution but increasingly ignored by the powers that be.
So we find Atheists are in favor of secularism and Putin also in favor of secularism but if Bashar is Alawite then why he gets help from Russia?

Who are the secularist ?How many are they ? Please define secularism and show me some example and their plan.
