Unknown assailants kidnapped Doctor Mona Kanj outside her Meshref home in the Shouf region of MT Lebanon Wednesday morning.

The kidnappers later contacted her family demanding a $600,000 ransom.

Sources mentioned to LBCI that suspicions revolve around the Syrian housekeeper who is married to a Lebanese woman from Brital.

According an LBC report, Mona’s husband was on his way back home driving his BMW X5 on Wednesday at around 8 AM when, 3 unknown gunmen attacked and tied him up.

The gunmen then made their way into Kanj’s villa and kidnapped Dr. Mona and her housekeeper.

The kidnappers then left the housekeeper and Mona’s husband in his X5 in the Bchamoun area, and then fled to an unknown destination.

I wonder how much I am worth to kidnap? as I don’t have much money. just enough to pay the rent and heating. So, I am safe I presume.

I’m glad they mentioned the type of car the husband was driving.  Very important piece of information, it really tied the whole story together for me.  I’m more empathetic because of it.
